Our white recycled cards are printed on Revive Laser, which is 100% recycled, certified FSC® Recycled, manufactured carbon neutral, and produced by an ISO 14001 certified mill. No chlorine bleaching occurs in the recycling process.
Our brown recycled cards are printed on Neenah Environment Digital, which is FSC® Mix certified, produced from 30% post-consumer waste, and manufactured carbon neutral by an ISO 14001 certified mill.
We believe words are more meaningful when someone has taken time to write them by hand. Plus, compared to clicking on an email, it’s much more fun for the recipient to open an envelope, read the card and then put it on display to remind them of your thoughtful words.
Social Traders defines social enterprises as ‘businesses that trade to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people access to employment and training, or help the environment. Using the power of the marketplace to solve the most pressing societal problems, social enterprises are commercially viable businesses existing to benefit the public and the community, rather than shareholders and owners.’
We want to fund as many life-changing gifts as we can, so we aim to keep our costs low. Once we’ve paid our business costs, we donate 100% of profits towards Tearfund Australia’s Useful Gifts. Those funds are then used by Tearfund Australia to support poverty-fighting projects run by their partner organisations in multiple countries around the world.
We donate to Tearfund Australia because we love the way they facilitate long-term development projects with local communities, helping them gain the skills and resources they need to address local problems and come up with sustainable solutions.
Noteworthy Cards is operated entirely by volunteers—no one receives payment for their involvement with us. We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of those who have volunteered their time to help develop this social enterprise.
James Agnew is the Founder of Noteworthy Cards (ABN 72 456 559 154). He is supported by his amazing wife, Steph, as well as several friends who have contributed to the cause. James works as a Communications Manager in Adelaide, and wants to use his life to make a difference in the world.
